Nate is at Peace

Sunday evening at 9:45, God called one of his precious children Nathaniel Robert Trask.

By God's grace Nate did not feel any pain the last few days and peacefully returned to his Creator.

Nate was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to more people than he ever knew on earth. Touching the lives of family, friends, communities, children, and strangers, he showed us what true faith looks like. No matter the circumstance God is with us and loves us.

Nate will be greatly missed, but his spirit, courage, faith, laughter, joy, wisdom, and love will remain with us forever.

Thank you to all who have lifted Nate and this family in prayer.

Charley and Bob Trask

Dearest Family,
He has finished the race and he has kept the faith. He is safely on the other side and we will see him again.
Now our prayers are for you. May the God of all comfort meet you and reveal Himself to you in ways of inexpressible grace and mercy. Our hearts are broken with yours. Deb, I'm claiming the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 for you. We hold you all in love, Gary and Barb Wiemers, McCook

I don't know you, but have been praying. I know how devastating that loss is even though you know he is in peace now. I lost my husband last summer to cancer and it's been a long journey since then. I will continue to pray for your family.
Strength and peace to you,

I had the misfortune of learning about Nate's illness and death on the same day. Although I hadn't seen Nate in a few years, I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing. I knew Nate through Ford and we played softball together. I will always remember his seemingly effortless home run swings and my amazement at his capacity to fit into his Mazda Miata!

With deepest sympathy,

Dear Bob and Dodie,
Susan has had me praying for Nate, and I am so so sorry that you have lost him to this disease. BUT, God is somehow faithful within it all, and I know Nate is held in Jesus' arms because of that faithfulness. We will keep your family, and his, in prayer.
Love, Mary Kay (Harvard)

My heart breaks as I read the news of Nate's passing. But I too rejoice that God has called him home. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with your family as you mourn. He touched the lives of all who knew him (and some who didn't). I just recently found a photo of Prom '93, he, Sara, Luke and I double dated and went bowling in our formal wear. What wonderful memories I have of him and I will forever remember that beautiful smile of his!

Deb, be assured that there is a community that loves you and is praying for you. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

Our family joins your grief. We've been so close in prayer and Nate's name, as is his whole family's, is close to our family's heart. The verses from Chris Tomlin's song echoes through my day thinking of Nate: My chains are gone, I've been set free. My God, my Savior, has ransomed me;And like a flood His mercy rains; Unending love,Amazing grace.
